OK - I have to comment on how ironic it is that paintings I myself am over the moon about, don't necessarily send anyone else over the moon. In fact, almost without fail this seems to happen. I'm sure many other artists can relate to the period of questioning your validity as an artist, so I thought it was something worth mentioning. Now - I'm certainly not trying to solicit praise for my last post ;). Just sharing the irony of it. Thing is, I submitted the post to a juried show after carefully deciding which painting might be best. Ultimately I know we're not supposed to worry too much about how our artwork is received, but seriously - how does an artist trust their judgment of their own paintings? What a can of worms....
