In honor of one of my closest friends who passed away rather unexpectedly overnight, this painting is aptly named. She taught so many how to live each day according to life's terms; to accept what God brings us with grace & glory. Unlike the loss of my dad, with whom I am certain no stone was left unturned, there was so much that seemed in store for Jeannie. She won the battle so many times over serious life threatening health problems. Just as one went down, another would pop up - diabetes left one leg; breast cancer left one breast; heart attacks left a weak heart and a recently discovered, but undiagnosed blood disorder left what? No one will know for sure. It would seem that her passing wouldn't be such a shock after all, but still it's so hard to process. Maybe, in fact, Jeannie turned over more stones than the average Jo and we came to expect more miracles without realizing that each and every one should be enough. She was an angel; a reference point for life. I'm so glad that she knew how much I loved her. Good night, my friend - well done.
