"Looking Out to Sea" by Lynda Cookson

This little number, in the freezing weather we're having in the northern hemisphere at the moment, is presently at Gallery 1608 in Bushmills (yes, where the whiskey comes from!) in Northern Ireland.

I just thought we all needed a little warmth today!!

Flower Girl Sunshine painting palette knife fine art impressionism by Karen Tarlton

“I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” —Audrey Hepburn

"Looking Out to Sea" by Lynda Cookson

This little painting is on show at Gallery 1608 in Bushmills, Northern Ireland.

We live 300 metres from a secluded bay on one of the peninsulas of Brittany's west-as-west-can-go coastline in France. On a balmy summer's day, during a walk at "our" bay, the inspiration for "Looking Out to Sea" was born. How I wish I was as slim and young as this young slip of a girl!! LOL

You can contact Gallery 1608 here : info@gallery1608.co.uk

BUDDIES, 6X8, OIL SOLD

There is nothing like the company of your dog.  They are fun, and faithful and when you are a young girl, they can add so much to your life.  I was raised as an only child and some of my best childhood memories involve my pet dogs.  This girl was sitting on a rock high over the Nantahala River at  NOC, watching the kayaks run the rapids.

This has been my busiest season and it's nothing but fun.

Original oil painting Summer Seashells by the Seashore by Karen Tarlton

Summer Beach Memory
20x20
Oil
www.etsy.com/shop/Karensfineart

We had a lovely day running on the beach yesterday.
A BEACH RUN is the best painting inspiration!

My daughter and I are running together everyday now -
although I don't quite keep up with her yet, I'm getting faster!
(I think the new vegan diet helps with speed too)
There are lots of vacationing families enjoying the sand
and I love to people watch,
especially the smaller children.

6 more weeks with my daughter before she goes off to college!
(I'll be painting lots more little girl paintings I think)

Study for a Commission Palette Knife Artist, Judy Mackey

Study for a commission
8" x 8", Oil on Board

Was asked to do a little study for a possible commission by a gallery that represents me.  I've not heard back from them so I probably wasn't chosen for the commission but the practice was fun so I'm sharing this painting.  Very Spring-like.

GIRL PORTRAIT with BRIGHT BACKGROUND by OLGA WAGNER

This is an older painting that I re-worked the background and the hair on...It's fun to take older work that is so-so and breathe new life into...

Karen Tarlton Original palette knife oil painting - Beach Play

Sweet summer memories in multiple layers of oil.  Took awhile to build up all these glowing textures of color.  Since I have two daughters, grown up now, this is one of my personal favorites!
