A Walk in Paris by Lisa Elley. Palette Knife Painting

A Walk in Paris by Lisa Elley. 2012. 9 X 12. Oil on Canvas. 100% Palette Knife Painting

Back in the fall of 1997, I found myself backpacking alone through Europe and came across an amazing park tucked away in central Paris. It was so full of beautiful colors and French charm, what an incredible experience, I'm so glad I threw caution to the wind and went traveling!

Derelict by Lisa Elley. 100% Palette Knife Oil Painting

Derelict by Lisa Elley. 2012. 16 X 20. Oil on Canvas. 100% Palette Knife

I was inspired to paint this incredible abandoned farmhouse in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand. It dates back to about the 1860's. The corrugated iron roof just screamed cadmium red medium, which I simply can't resist. The typically New Zealand overcast, yet glary sky had a little pocket where the sun shone through and lit up the grass with a gorgeous golden hue.

Who doesn't love the rustic charm of Provence?
With all the history and possibilities, it was fun to
ponder the lives of the generations of people who
have walked through this door.

Milford Sound by Lisa Elley

Milford Sound. 2012. 9 X 12. Oil on Canvas. 100% Palette Knife

Milford Sound was deemed the eight wonder of the world
by Rudyard Kipling, and is New Zealand's
 most popular tourist destination.
The sheer walls of the fiord rise 3900 ft
and it is one of the wettest places on earth,
hence the lush greenery and occasional tree avalanche
into the cold waters where dolphins, seals,
penguins and whales can be seen.

With a Drizzle of Rachael Ray by Lisa Elley

With a Drizzle of Rachael Ray. 2012. 11 X 14. Oil On Canvas

I will find any excuse to open a tube of cadmium red,
including but not limited to my Rachael Ray EVOO bottle, which I bought at Target.
The pitcher in complimentary color blue was an eye popping choice to pair with the orange cruet.

Aspen Tree Painting "Autumn Brilliance" by Jill Saur

Aspen trees in the fall are brilliant with color and vibrant with the last nuance of color until they break forth with brilliant green leaves in the spring.  I love Colorado and New Mexico at this time of year.  I've spent many days doing nothing but walking amongst them, photographing them, and painting them on location.

This acrylic painting, "Autumn Brilliance" is 60"x48" and is on a wide border canvas with the image painted on the side.  It stands alone and doesn't need a frame.  I insure and ship anywhere in the United States.  I invite you to become a collector of my work and experience the joy of owning artwork that uplifts your soul.

Aspen Tree Painting "Resilience In Red" by Jill Saur

This 48"x36" aspen tree painting is entitled, "Resilience In Red".  It is bright, bold, uplifting and looking for a home that needs inspiration.  The image is painted on the sides of this gallery wrapped canvas and doesn't need to be framed.  My inspiration for this dynamic painting comes from experiencing the bold sunsets in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Buy ART - Aspen Tree Painting by Jill Saur

This 48"x36" acrylic painting on a wide border canvas is elegant, stunning, and always draws compliments from those who see it.  I was inspired to paint this from viewing the aspens in Colorado in the early evening during Fall.  Those who know me, know how much I love aspen trees.  Once you have stood amongst a grove of white aspens, heard their quaking leaves, and felt the peaceful quiet of the forest, you will want to return often.

My aspen paintings give my patrons the opportunity to be reminded of this tree's majestic beauty.  This original painting can be purchased at the Frameworks Gallery, in Marietta, GA.
Their phone number is (770) 973-6701.  I invite you to become a collector and experience the joy of owning artwork that inspires and uplifts your soul.
