Vase painting assisted by palette knife by Lynda Cookson

Although the main technique for painting this vase was acrylic pouring, the method is most definitely (by me) assisted by my trusty palette knife which guides the paint into parts I would like it to reach.

This vase is still upside down on my apple cider vinegar bottle as I can't move it until it is at least touch dry.

With a Drizzle of Rachael Ray by Lisa Elley

With a Drizzle of Rachael Ray. 2012. 11 X 14. Oil On Canvas

I will find any excuse to open a tube of cadmium red,
including but not limited to my Rachael Ray EVOO bottle, which I bought at Target.
The pitcher in complimentary color blue was an eye popping choice to pair with the orange cruet.

Original oil painting by Karen Tarlton - Red Wine

Red Wine
16x20
Oil

One of my favorite indulgences.....a great glass or red on a Friday night!  Italian Chianti, Merlot, Cabernet....all good!  Every once in awhile I love to paint it as well and capture the nuances of light in the glass and bottle with palette knife texture!
