Greetings and thank you for visiting my blog. I have always loved oil paintings, and have felt a strong pull to explore this medium. As a lifelong admirer of Gauguin, Van Gogh, and Rousseau, my paintings generally display strong color, composition, and texture. I hope you will visit often, and comment (positive or negative) as the work evolves. I am thankful to have studied with gifted and talented teachers: Carol Marine, Qiang Huang, Kathleen dello Stritto, and Don Sahli. I have much to learn. I am constantly inspired and challenged by my fellow artists in the "Artists of Texas" group and the artists at my studio in Dallas. We paint and learn and laugh together, and the comraderie is a blessing.
