Horses are magical and wonderful animals.
Love painting them in a thunderous wild race
in broad strokes of rich, buttery oil paint.

It's time for some thick paint and color!
Winter sunshine peaked through the clouds today
and between snow storms I painted.
Hope they inspire!

Working on a few larger Wild Mustang paintings this week
and a few commissions.
I can't seem to paint an animal with a boring hue
They must have COLOR and personality
Always an inspiration, this amazing animal.
These two are my latest with my favorite blues and reds.

Art Reception Weekend by Pamela Blaies

14" x 11"
Oil on Canvas
currently on exhibit at Doss Museum

The Superbowl party I hosted this weekend didn't hold a candle to attending the Friday night opening artist reception at beautiful Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford, Texas. Wine, cheese, hors d'oeuvres and great music set the stage for some fabulous art viewing. It was great chatting with collectors and meeting new people. If you are near the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, don't miss this exhibit showing through March 30, 2012.

I love to share my art and inspiration. Click HERE to sign up for my email newsletter and receive a free gift of postcards.
