Art Reception Weekend by Pamela Blaies

14" x 11"
Oil on Canvas
currently on exhibit at Doss Museum

The Superbowl party I hosted this weekend didn't hold a candle to attending the Friday night opening artist reception at beautiful Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford, Texas. Wine, cheese, hors d'oeuvres and great music set the stage for some fabulous art viewing. It was great chatting with collectors and meeting new people. If you are near the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, don't miss this exhibit showing through March 30, 2012.

I love to share my art and inspiration. Click HERE to sign up for my email newsletter and receive a free gift of postcards.

Original oil painting - Two Wild and Free - fine art by Karen Tarlton

(Close up of painting so you can see the texture!)

Two Wild and Free
24x36
Oil

This painting is brand new and very wet.  It will likely take weeks to dry because it is heavy with oil paint and extreme texture and I loved every moment painting these creatures!

A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves--strong, powerful, beautiful--and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.
- Pam Brown

A horse gallops with his lungs,
Perseveres with his heart,
And wins with his character.
- Tesio
