Original oil painting Autumn Vineyard by Karen Tarlton

18x18
Autumn Vineyard
Oil on canvas

Well it's already here - the season of color.
It's chilly today and the leaves are turning gold and already falling from the Mulberry and
great Oaks in my backyard.
The Dogwoods in the front are turning crimson and getting ready to soon drop too.

Even the vineyards turn glorious colors in October and it's pure joy to see it!

"Cafe Verrazano" Original Palette Knife Painting by Hallie Kohn Art

My husband and I went to Florence before having our boys. We had more than one book on places to eat while there, and only one place we loved so much we had to go back twice. Cafe Verrazano was a hidden little gem of a place that you would hardly even notice if you weren't looking specifically for it.

I can still remember letting the waiter bring us whatever he wanted... The wine was amazing and had us hunting it down when we got home. He brought out the most delicious focaccia (panini) sampler that I tried numerous times to duplicate. And finally chocolate cake with fresh strawberries. Yum. We never wanted to leave.

Here it is! "Vini" must mean drink a bottle of wine with your lunch? DOCG, for you enthusiasts!

"Castiglione Falletto and the Full Moon" by Karla Nolan

Oh, this was just so much fun to paint -- and to research!  I'm a lucky lady, my husband and I went to Italy, to the Piedmont region where the nebbia grapes grow and Barolo wines originate.  We walked around this tiny little village for a bit -- it's really small, so we didn't walk at that long -- and came to the edge of the town by the stone wall.  There it was, the moon, in its full glory during the day.  The hills were distant, the next town over just shone, and I was just glad to be where I was at the moment, with my sweetheart and in Italy.  What more could a woman want?  (Other than homemade Italian food and drop dead wonderful wines, of course!)

"Castiglione Falletto and the Full Moon", 8"x6" palette knife and brush oil painting on canvas,  $95 includes s/h in continental U.S., Paypal accepted, e-mail me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more info....thanks for looking!

Greetings from Fort Collins, Colorado!
