Petal Panoply Container Garden is the newest large work in Flower Mound Studio, a collection of pots and flowers that has been under construction for a few weeks now. As soon as the sun comes up tomorrow, I'll be starting another. Being able to work full time as an artist, rather than sit at a desk all day wishing I were painting, has its fringe benefits. Finally I am able to paint the large works I've been wanting to create all along, and fill up all those giant blank canvases that are stored away, gesso-ed, and waiting for flowers to start blooming all over the place.
