New Paintings by Paula Formanek

A new original "Golden Trio", oil with knife on panel, 20 x 25 cm, part of my "Sunflower Series". I completed this painting quickly with some leftover paint on my last day in Europe. It's now drying in my studio. Soon, I plan to use this to create a large painting.

This is one of my new paintings "Summer Sweet", oil with knife on panel 25 x 30 cm, recently painted en plein air near the Czech Forest.

Conservation of the land takes many forms. In agriculture, this can mean leaving soil out of production for a year or more, rotating crops, weed control and planting trees as windbreaks. This scene captures several of these conservation efforts at work.

This impressionistic landscape was painted with a palette knife and most of it was done en plein air.
