Wildflower Field by Kay Wyne

Wildflower Field
12" x 24" Oil on Canvas
Contemporary Floral Landscape
Here's another painting in the colorful wildflower series that I am currently working on.  I pulled some colors that I normally don't use, and mixed several new combinations.  The canvas size is a change-up from my favorite format:  the square.  I have a beautiful silver frame to put on this painting...it will be ready for a new home soon!  Contact Kay Wyne for more information.  Thanks for looking....Kay

Springtime Colors by Kay Wyne

Springtime Colors
22" x 28" Oil on Canvas
Contemporary Palette Knife Painting
This contemporary floral landscape is completed and signed!  The thick layers of paint will take a long time to dry...so it will be sitting in the studio for now.  I am going to frame it up in a dark wood moulding, so that the colors will pop!  The field of poppies flows into the background of the field...fading away into the horizon line.
This is a close-up shot of the knife work.  I did not use a brush, only a knife to apply the oils.    Thanks for looking at this blog and the art posted here.  Contact Kay for info on this painting.  Thanks, Kay

Landscape by Kay Wyne

Landscape - To be titled.
60" x 48" Oil on Canvas
Contemporary Palette Knife Painting
I just competed this landscape painting over the weekend.  It has fans on it, drying.  I used wide brushes, large palette knifes and lots of thick paint.  There are layers of paint, lots of texture and the wildflowers are so colorful you just want to touch them.  Since I used a gallery wrap canvas, a frame is optional.  Ready to hang as is.  Contact Kay for more information on this painting.  Thanks, Kay

Texas Wildflowers in the Hill Country by Pamela Blaies

Bluebonnets and Wildflowers on a Hill
10" x 8"
Oil on Canvas

I love to see bluebonnets and indian paintbrush when they fill the fields and grow along the sides of the roads of Texas in the spring. Painting this piece was fun. I was in the mood to create something full of light, color and happiness.
