Follow the path through this painting, and you will see lots of wildflowers painted with the palette knife.  They are scattered throughout the field...as your eye wanders back and forth into the horizon.  This painting is currently hanging at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas.  Contact Kay Wyne or the gallery for more information on this contemporary landscape painting.  Thanks for looking, Kay

Wildflower Vista by Kay Wyne

Wildflower Vista
24" x 24" Oil on Canvas
Contemporary Wildflower Landscape Painting
This painting has been in the works for several weeks, and I can now say I am finished!  I wanted the foreground to be overgrown, thick with color and texture on the wildflowers.  I wanted to create a scene that appeared to be untouched, beautiful and dreamy.  The viewer can see the path of wildflowers as they trail off into the horizon, fading into the sky.  I started with a photograph that I had taken several years ago as inspiration, but took my artistic license and created this colorful landscape vista.  Contact Kay for more information on this painting...it is in the studio drying.  It does need a frame!  Thanks, Kay

Enchanting by Kay Wyne

Enchanting
36" x 36" Oil on Heavy Duty Gallery Wrap Canvas
Contemporary Wildflower Landscape
This wildflower landscape painting is completed!  I used the palette knife and brushes to layer the paints.  The clouds started with a warm orange, then layered blues, violets, greys and creamy whites.  You can see some of the base orange color peeking through in the sky.  The flowers in the foreground have thick, layered paint that was applied with the palette knife.  Lots of texture!  Contact Kay for info on this painting.  Thanks, Kay
