Poppy Jungle oil painting by Marion Hedger

Poppy Jungle by Marion Hedger
palette knife painting
18 x 24 cm (approx 7"x10") oil on canvas panel
Available by Auction on Daily Paintworks BID HERE

Every year the poppies self-seed all over my garden, particularly in the lawn. My husband, bless him, mows around these patches giving me a lovely display with high impact colour! These are growing around an old hibiscus syringa which is just starting to emerge after its' winter rest.

Pretty in Purple, Provence landscape by Marion Hedger

Pretty in Purple, Provence Landscape
18 x 24 cm oil on canvas panel

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INCLUDED
Here is the final version of the painting I posted a couple of days ago HERE. It didn't need much to finish it off. I like the way the foreground turned out, nice and suggestive.
Here is a close-up of the foreground where you can see some of the drips left in-situ. It's definitely something I will try again.

"A taste of summer" sunflower and lavender oil painting by Marion Hedger

"A taste of summer" sunflower and lavender palette knife painting
19x27cm, oil on canvas board

This is a rework of one of my Garden 101 series that I started last year and is fresh off the easel today. At the time, I put it in my discard pile, as, although I liked the concept, the painting did not come out as expected.

I am not having a lot of success with my iris paintings at the moment, so as a change, I got this painting out and reworked it using a palette knife and fresher looking paint.
I really like it now. Quite loose and fresh looking to my eyes. Let me know what you think.
