Market Street, Manchester, Original Oil and Mixed Media painting by Sarah Morley
This is a painting from a while ago, Market Street, Manchester, England in winter. It has some collage work on it and also spray paint, but is predominantly an oil painting, painted with a knife.
It is 100 cm by 80cm ( approx 40" x 32") and is for sale for $400. I was in Manchester recently and am inspired to paint some more streetscapes so expect some more of these to be coming your way on this blog!

I am an artist, based in Stockport, UK, where I am part of the communal art studios in an old cotton mill, Vernon Mill. Art is my second career. I started it over 30 years ago when I started a Fine Art degree which I was really not ready for.
I returned to my painting over 6 years ago. I paint mainly landscapes and seascapes in a semi abstract way that I hope invokes the feeling of 'being there'. Texture, light, colour and energy are important in my painting.
