SOLD ~ Dive In Daisies by Floral Artist Nancy Medina

Dive In Daisies
by Nancy Medina

SOLD
12X12
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Dive In Daisies is the daily newbie in Flower Mound Studio. I made a video of this painting on my IPad while I worked. My timing was impeccable. There are pug noises in the background, pug snoring, little yips and barks, and the grand finale, the sound of the hubby coming home, which is always an occasion that calls for boisterous celebration from the four footed helpers. Tomorrow while I'm flying to Florida for my Melbourne workshop, I'll see if I can edit it into one of the little freebie videos for you and get it posted with the videos on my Web site. Stay tuned, I'll announce it here as soon as it is ready for you!

My husband comes home from work, now that I am no longer a slave to corporate America, and he says: "What did you do today, nuthin?" And he grins. Now that I am working solely as an artist, I never stop. Here's my typical day: Read more...

16X12
Palette Knife/Oil on Archival Panel

Sunflowers in Teal is the newest daily painting in Flower Mound Studio. Each time I open a catalog I am seeing teal shoes, teal dresses, and teal wall colors! This seems to be the color of the season. It's such a cheerful color, it makes me wish I were young enough to wear strappy teal high heel sandals! My newest art newsletter came out today, and the winner of my February painting giveaway was announced. Read more...

Hearts Path Orange Tulips of the Dallas Arboretum by Texas Artist Nancy Medina

Hearts Path Orange Tulips
of the Dallas Arboretum
by Nancy Medina
16X12

Textured Palette Knife/
Oil on Archival Panel

Hearts Path Orange Tulips celebrates the countdown to the Dallas Blooms Festival - the best time of year to visit the gardens of the Dallas Arboretum, when the tulips are in full bloom. The cherry blossoms, azaleas, daffodils, pansies, and dozens of other flowers were just about to burst forth when I visited on Sunday. I wanted to create something loose, bright and very full of color to mark the end of winter. I can hardly wait to visit again in March, with my camera in hand, and my comfy walking shoes on! Join me, and let's have lunch at the tea room. We'll order one of those towers of desserts, while we're at it!
