Art Inspiration, Hollyhock public garden in Banon, by Marion Hedger

Art Inspiration Banon, Provence

This public garden was reached by a steep path up to the church at Banon here we stayed overnight on our recent trip. The climb was well worth it to find this garden area in full bloom. Not only was it colourful, but the benches were positioned to give a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.

Many of the village in this area were full of hollyhocks which seemed to be self-seeded and growing in no soil!

I have painted a small painting of this garden and blocked in a larger one. I am working up to do it as a larger painting still.

If this scene appeals to you, I would glady work with you to paint you your own personal version. Contact me to start the ball rolling.

Summer Aspens Painting by Atlanta Artist, Jill Saur

My 18"x36" summer acrylic palette knife aspen tree painting, "Resounding Joy", was a painting commissioned by some of my favorite clients.  After purchasing their first painting from my gallery, they decided they wanted another piece for a special place in their home.  They wanted summer aspens and we came up with this idea.  Soon after, they commissioned a larger painting for a summer home they were building in the mountains.  How fortunate I've been to have such wonderful and appreciative clients!

Commission a Painting to your specifications, by Carol Schiff

Today's post is just a little different.  Recently, I sold a small marsh painting to a client in another state.  Since she could not see the art in person before she purchased it, she was surprised and dismayed by the size of the piece.

She really loved the painting, but it just wouldn't work in her space.  We decided to repaint it in a much larger format.  When the commission was ready to ship, I sent her this image of both works, allowing her to see that the colors and scene were similar and also to judge the size of the original against the new piece.

She was thrilled and the story has a happy ending for all.

If you have a special image or would like one of my works in another size, please feel free to contact me for a price quote.  I would love to hear from you.

Inspired by Yellowstone National Park and the hydrothermal pools scattered about its interior, I painted, "Abstracted Daydream".

Working solely with my palette knife, I created this 16"x20" textured acrylic painting.  I had a lot of fun with this one.  Yellowstone is a National treasure!

My work is available to purchase by contacting me my through my website.  Please note that I paint commissions.  You can read about the commission process on my website.  Thanks for viewing!  Jill  www.JillSaurFineArt.com
