This contemporary aspen painting is drying, and I will be getting it framed up. I will probably put a wide silver moulding on it. This color palette that I used has more green in it than I normally like to use. I was very careful not to get a muddy green when I was mixing colors. I wanted a clean and bright yellow-green that looks fresh and makes you think of springtime. I used the palette knife of this one. Thanks for looking at the art on this blog. The paint was applied with a palette knife on this canvas, giving the surface alot of texture.
This is one of those contemporary oil paintings that I feel like I can truely say I am a colorist.
I would say that I gave this painting color importance, achieving a special effect with color.
Lots of color, many shades. It will take a long time to dry. I plan to deliver this painting to The Dutch Art Gallery....Pam at Dutch Art has a gold frame waiting for this canvas.
