This painting is all about the sky, then the aspens leading down to the path.  Usually, it's the other way around in my paintings.  The path takes the viewer where I want their eye to lead.  I love this quote from Helen Keller.  Think about it, she couldn't see the sky.  However, she could smell the fresh air while feeling the wind on her skin (not listening to it).

This little painting is popping with color. It is a detour from my large pieces.....6" x 6" is very small compared to the large canvases that I usually use. Aspen Tree Painting "Golden Vibrance" by Jill Saur

Santa Fe, New Mexico, inspired this acrylic painting on canvas.  I spent about two weeks there several years ago and just got lost in the trees (figuratively of course).  The aspen trees are interconnected by their roots and they actually support one another!  I call them "The Giving Trees".
