"Fort Henry" by Paula Formanek

What's on my Easel?? ...

I painted the bulk of this painting last summer on location, en plein air on the beautiful hill at the historic site of Fort Henry, overlooking Navy Bay and the St. Lawrence River ... today I made a few touch ups and finally signed it.

Oil with knife on panel. I'm happy with this painting ... when I look at it, I'm there! ...

Vase painting assisted by palette knife by Lynda Cookson

Although the main technique for painting this vase was acrylic pouring, the method is most definitely (by me) assisted by my trusty palette knife which guides the paint into parts I would like it to reach.

This vase is still upside down on my apple cider vinegar bottle as I can't move it until it is at least touch dry.
