Rejoicing Light, Layers of oil and texture, Modern Landscape by Janet Bludau

12 x 12
Oil on Canvas
$300

This painting was created with many layers using brushes and palette knifes of different sizes. Layers were scraped back to reveal under paintings. It was a fun piece and one I could have kept working on forever - it is difficult to know when to stop!

"Absolute Joy" Mountain Stream by Jill Saur

©2011 "Absolute Love" by Jill Saur, all rights reserved

"Absolute Joy" is a 36"x36" commission that has taken me several months to complete.  My clients are going to hang this in the home they are building on top of a mountain.  They are such nice people, and it was a complete pleasure painting this for them.  I used my palette knife in the foliage in the trees.  There is quite a bit of texture that brings this painting to life.

I love water.  I am drawn to it and mesmerized by its sound, movement and colors.  It has been a long, cold, and very wet winter here in Georgia.  I look forward to this spring and summer and taking longs walks along the Chattahoochee River and a visit to the ocean as well.
