The waterways of Florida are littered with abandoned boats, that have been destroyed by the hurricanes of the last few years. Unscrupulous owners, remove the boat registrations, walk away with their insurance money, and leave it to the counties to remove the damaged boats. In most cases, the counties do not have funds, so the boats sit in the waters.

I often passed this cabin, on my daily walks. I am always inspired by the beauty surrounding me during my walks. The cabin looked so charming, nestled in the trees, with spots of sunlight hitting it.
This piece is a combination of brush and palette knife.
I have gone without painting for several months due to my move. I am anxious to return to my new (small) studio, and begin this new version of my daily routine. I hope I remember how to paint!

| SOLD It's hard to go wrong with a blue and yellow painting.....it just shouts "Cheerful". The background was painted with a brush, but I used a palette knife on the flowers and grasses. That's when it started to be really fun!
I feel like I was able to capture the feel of the day......I hope it made you smile!
