Bleeding Hearts
Bleeding Hearts
10" x 20"
oil on panel
$400 plus free shipping in North America
My signature style is boats and water, and very very very rarely flowers. But the boat painting I am currently working on was giving me problems so I thought a change of scene might help distance myself from it for awhile.
I love these old fashioned bleeding hearts with their simple shapes and links to the past for most everyone. Its funny how an object, sound or colour can bring back childhood memories of places and people isn't it?
I am a professional visual artist in northeastern Newfoundland and Labrador. I am inspired by the ocean and boats. Reflections and colour are a large part of my work as well as creating the nuances in values that make these things so unique.
I am an impressionist painter working with a palette knife, however, I do use other mediums for small paintings and create original prints in the form of linocuts and etchings.
You can find my larger works on my website www.jeanettejobson.com. The process of creating a piece of art is often shown on my blog http://illustratedlife.blogspot.com through works in progress, tutorials and sometimes giveaways! I also accept commissions and teach drawing and palette knife painting through workshops and privately.
You can also find me on Facebook (jeanette Jobson Fine Art) or Twitter (jeanettejobson). Drop by and say hello, I'd love to meet you and share my journey.

Bloom Your Heart Out!
12"x12" oil on archival panel
Click here, for more information, or to purchase.
This
little orchid has been the most encouraging little plant...and one
incredible orchid. It has re-bloomed so many times for me, I've lost
count! Seems like one bloom shoot is over, and it's putting out another
one, bringing beauty to my winter world! Which does wonders for my
happiness!
Keep
a smile blooming on your beautiful face - you'll bring happiness to
everyone you meet today (wonderful person that you are!).

ORIGINAL DAISY PAINTING by OLGA WAGNER
WOW...It has been a hot one...At 4 pm, my outdoor thermometer showed 107 deg. That is a bit too toasty for my liking...I decide to save these little daisies from the heat and bring them indoors...They seem much happier!

Wild Flowers Series - One by Trisha Lamoreaux
The past few days in Utah have been uncharacteristically warm and sunny which has brought on an early dose of spring fever. I've been known to get pretty severe cases come mid-February but this year, I'm jumping the gun and ready for the heat say... now-ish. Since I can't really control the weather I've decided paint it. This new series explores my love of the beauty in springtime -- that can't get here soon enough.

Roses By North Light by Roxanne Steed
12"x12" oil on deep cradled birch wood panel (sides painted, not necessary to frame, but of course you may if you prefer).
Flowers seem intended for the solace of ordinary humanity. ~John Ruskin
I've learned to not always listen to the weatherman. They predicted it would rain all morning and begin to clear in the afternoon. I awoke to find it perfectly sunny and clear this morning, but I had cut these roses the night before. Of course I was determined to paint them. I had re-arranged a bit of furniture in the studio (which I have pretty much abandoned all summer and painted out-side) so I could have just the right natural light fall on them from my north-facing windows (which allows nice even light in all day). Then by afternoon, there came the pouring rains! Glad I didn't listen to that turned around forecast!
