"Bright Bougainvillea" by Karla Nolan, miniature palette knife oil painting on linen panel

A return to Sonoma, California -- there was an alley of sorts just loaded with the most incredible, casually growing bougainvillea.  The reason I refer to it as "casually growing" is that these beautiful plants grow anywhere and everywhere in the correct climate -- and California certainly has the lovely climate needed, as do parts of southern Europe, Italy, France, and Spain.  The flowers are just tiny, it's the brackets that shine with color....I grow them indoors in the cooler months here and put them outside to shine with their glory during the summer months.

"Bright Bougainvillea" 6"x4" miniature palette knife/brush oil painting on linen panel, $36 includes s/h in U.S., contact me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com and I'll mail you a Paypal invoice -- s/h in other locations to be determined at time of sale, of course.

I have set up a second website, Paintings On Glass, to showcase my paintings on glass.  There is a piece in progress as I type with sailboats.  That's a true challenge, showing proper structure and making the water look good.  Be sure to check it out, along with my new blogspot, listed below.
