Life's a Bowl of Cherries by Pamela Blaies
Bowl of Cherries
5" x 7"
oil on linen
SOLD
I love to paint cherries, but had a hard time getting my hands on any to paint over the winter and spring. The other day I was so excited when I found them at the market. I promptly bought 2 bags - one to eat and one to paint. Then I went on a little cherry painting binge. "Bowl of Cherries" just sold, but check my daily paintworks gallery to see more cherry paintings!

Cherry Red by Pamela Blaies
18" x 24"
My beautiful hydrangeas, which were very pink just a couple of weeks ago, are fading into a subtle green. Their soft lines are the perfect contrast to the colors and textures of the fresh fruit and white creamer. I've been wanting to include cherries in a still life and this seemed to be the perfect fit. Their deep, rich red tones help to bring all of the colors together for nice harmony.
