It was my turn to gallery set at Shanley House during the Lake Granbury Art Association Spring Festival of Art show. I brought the roses from my garden, set up this still life and got to work. I used the brush and thinned down paint to wash the background  in. I drew the roses in with a brush and added thick paint with a palette knife developing the roses. I created this on location in Glen Rose. It was a little early for the wildflowers and the blue bonnets were a rare sighting. We were thrilled when we found this field of the bluebonnets. Hello, I am new to this site and looking forward to being  a part of the palette knife painters. I have been working with the palette knife for about six years. I started with I first painted outside. I painted this in the studio from a photo I took during a search for a painting location.
