I switched gears a bit today, painting bright orange and red koi, since I had piles of reds from two new dresses this week. As soon as I finished this painting, these little koi went directly into hibernation due to extreme cold in North Texas! It's been a super busy day, with a private lesson, a trip to the shipper to send off nine paintings to new homes, and packing up for my first workshop of the new year starting in North Texas Thursday.
