Poppies - I love these red flowers. When they are in bloom in late spring, they fill the roadside along the highway through my hometown with their splendid color peeking out from wild grasses. This painting gives an up-close perspective. Many colors in the grass and lots of texture set the perfect stage for these show-offs to shine against the gorgeous blue sky.
