Wildflower Painting, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 6x8" Oil on Panel

We recently moved to the Asheville area, but, we have been spending time here every summer for years.  This painting is inspired by my many hikes along the highways and byways of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Siberian Squill Wildflower Oil Painting by Hallie Kohn Art

This is the very first flower that will pop up in my yard in early spring. Apparently it is an invasive flower, but ours are growing in a place where nothing else does. I am always thrilled to see a carpet of blue leading down my yard into the greenbelt. Yay for spring!
