We recently moved to the Asheville area, but, we have been spending time here every summer for years. This painting is inspired by my many hikes along the highways and byways of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
A clump of pink cone flowers catches
sunlight in a garden on a cool spring morning , of blue skies, and
yellow green leaves. A special flower gift for for Valentine's Day that
will never fade!
This abstract floral is painted with acrylic on
canvas, UV varnish, sides painted, wired and ready to hang. Painted
with a palette knife for texture.8x10
This is the very first flower that will pop up in my yard in early spring. Apparently it is an invasive flower, but ours are growing in a place where nothing else does. I am always thrilled to see a carpet of blue leading down my yard into the greenbelt. Yay for spring!
