Horse #14 Spring Fever sold
I loved the fresh palette on this small painting. Trying different things is always a challenge. There seems to be a false sense of safety in doing it the old way all the time. I know growth only comes with taking a chance and trying no things. See that fresh light blue on the bottom left? He stands alone although there are traces of him in the blue section on the bottom right.
Salting and Peppering find darker blues through out the edging of the horses. The orange and blue are contrasting colors and the green on the edge of blue on the color wheel makes this palette a complementary split but with analogous colors. Here is a good link that explains some of the choices you have while painting. CLICK HERE>

After you paint awhile, it becomes second nature to know what works nicely together... just do not get into a rut.
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 2 Timothy 1:9 NIV
