Aspen groves in the Eastern Sierra send me into a magical world of color and sound that I've not seen or heard duplicated any where else. I love the steep escarpment of the "East Side" -- the road I need to take to get there is now closed for the winter (Tioga Pass Road) due to snow, so I'm painting from memory and drawings made over there.
