Flickering Shadows of Memories by Joan Terrell
I'm an artist living in disappearing rural Georgia about an hour outside of Atlanta. I love to create contemporary artwork and am especially inspired by the voices of flowers and whispers from my beloved Appalachian mountains. Thank you for joining me on this winding trail called an art journey. Now let's turn up the music in the studio and see where it takes us.

Abstract Ocean Series 5, Contemporary Palette Knife Seascape Paintings by California Janet Bludau
12" x 12"
Oil on Archival Board
$300 Framed
Ask about Unframed option
The paint is thick in places because of the palette knife application.
This painting would make a great companion piece with Ocean Series 4.
This can be viewed on my website: http://janetbludau.fineartstudioonline.com/
Just type in the title of the painting above.
The framing I have been using for this series is a very simple raw wood, gallery style.

I can't remember a time that I didn't have an artistic pursuit but I found my true love with painting. Although I enjoy exploring with different techniques and materials, I primarily work in oils with an abstract style. Thick paint placed with a palette knife and strong geometric shapes are often found in my paintings.
After earning a degree in Business Admin/Marketing, I went on to several "Big Girl" corporate jobs and then owned and ran a design business in Hawaii, importing antiques from the mainland. My education was rounded out through the UC Berkeley Extension Art Program and the College of Marin Art and Design Program. I am fortunate to have had wonderful instructors as well as the insightful critiques of my fun, fellow painters.
