They are equally beautiful, but on the day I had my camera along, only one was willing to pose. I don't know what her/his name is, but, I think she/he looks very "queenly" in her/his pose, thus the name.

The Wanderer is the newest painting in my French cottage series, I brought home close to a thousand photos from our trip to Southern France last September, and every time I look through them I discover new little treasures. I love putting the kitties into the scenes, they always add just a little mystery and fun, and make my imagination spin off little stories and adventures for these four footed fluffballs. This little kitty was based on the photos I got of Loki, the resident kitty at Le Vieux Couvent, where I'll be teaching in August. This is a small painting in my angel series. I've done several angels with dogs and was asked to paint some with cats. I tend not to paint in faces but I had a request to paint a face in one of my figurative paintings so as "practice" I painted an "essence" of a face in this one. No real features, I wanted to leave that to the viewers' imagination.
