Castaways Path - Janet Bludau

I love painting pathways.  Recently at an art show where I was exhibiting, a woman looking at my art said basically the same thing to me.  I had never before heard this from someone else.  She isn't a painter but she explained to me that she is always drawn to art that has a path, a road, a bridge, a walkway.  We had a fun time guessing why we both are so attracted to these scenes.  The unknown future, the promise OF a future, what we will encounter along the way, is it the pot of gold at the end or the journey? 

We were quite philosophical, yet silly.
