I love to paint these showy birds as they are abundant around here in California.

Let me know if you have a great title for me!So far we have "Just Plain Fancy",  "His Majesty" and "Belle of the Ball". But of course he is a boy bird so let's see what else we can come up with!

Once in awhile I fall in love with a painting and am requested to paint a similar one.  I painted one like this awhile ago and when it sold promised myself I would bring it new life.  Well here it is!

Whimsical birds and expressive palette knife work on this new one. My kids always laugh at me because I love to tell them what an animal is "saying" or would say if he could talk. This painting makes me smile because I think I managed to make these three "talk" as well. 

This is a new favorite!
