This painting is of one of the neatly landscaped gardens of the many luxurious villas on the Cote d' Azur. Pink and purple bougainvillea, roses, scented honeysuckle and jasmine all flourish in the hot climate. Orange and lemon trees, eucalyptus, and the occasional site and sound of green parakeets flying between palm tress add to the tropical feeling.
