Tree of Life, by New York artist, Celeste Plowden

A 'tree of life'  or was a popular design motif used in many examples of early modern folk art, especially needlework samplers. But it existed long before that, and in many theologies, mythologies, and philosophies.  Also known as a 'cosmic tree' or 'tree of knowledge.'  Here is my peaceful, blue palette knife painting version. 12x18 acrylic on canvas, sides painted, UV varnish, wired and ready to hang.
