Here are two of my recent seascapes; I am fascinated by The Fylde, the strip of the Lancashire coast north of Liverpool. The sky and sea seem to change all the time, and then there is the challenge of painting the shallow water on the sand! So here are two of my recent offerings. Both inspired by a somewhat blustery Sunday just before Easter and the incoming tide. The first one is simply called 'Incoming Tide - Ainsdale Sands' and the second is 'Walking the Dogs, Ainsdale Sand'. The second was largely painted as a demo for one of our local art groups, using a very large liquitex knife, with the detail of the figures added using a much smaller knife. Hope you like them! The first measures 30" x 30" and is a wrap around canvas, so no need for framing. The second is 24" x 36"and is painted on board, both for sale for $500 including shipping.

Seascapes, Original Knife Paintings by Sarah Morley
I am an artist, based in Stockport, UK, where I am part of the communal art studios in an old cotton mill, Vernon Mill. Art is my second career. I started it over 30 years ago when I started a Fine Art degree which I was really not ready for.
I returned to my painting over 6 years ago. I paint mainly landscapes and seascapes in a semi abstract way that I hope invokes the feeling of 'being there'. Texture, light, colour and energy are important in my painting.
