Figurative Painting,Fisherman painting, Sportsman Painting, daily painting, small oil painting, 9x12" oil by Carol Schiff Studio

This is a very special painting for me.  My grandson, Kevin, is obsessed with fishing.  He probably has 20 or more rod and reels for everything from deep sea fishing to fly fishing.  I surprised him this Christmas with a painting of one of his best ever fishing days.

He was very surprised and will take it to his dorm room in the fall; a perfect reminder of days at home.

This image is available as a print on canvas here.

Thanks for vewing my art today.

Mountain Lake Fishing by Sharon Hodges

Fly fishing gets a bit more challenging when the calm morning mists burn off and the slightest breeze starts to nick the water surface....but, gosh, it is still really a great place to just be alive.  This painting is 18x22, lots of surface action in the paint, primarily palette knife work.  Currently drying in the studio.  Available for purchase.
