Color of Summer by Kay Wyne

Color of Summer

10" x 20" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

Contemporary Landscape Painting

This palette knife painting is very impressionistic and moody.  I pushed and scraped the oils around with the knife.  I look at this painting and see different images appear each time.  You can visualize and imagine what is in the distance at the horizon.  This painting is framed in a silver floater frame, and is very handsome.  Contact Kay Wyne for more information on this painting.  Thanks, Kay

Storm Cloud by Ann McCann 8 x 8 Oil

Day 8 of the 30 Day Painting Challenge.  This is another painting of Horsebarn Hill in Storrs, CT. I loved the distant trees against the dark clouds.

Our crape myrtle trees are beautiful this year, and this is the 3rd one I have painted in front of the historic arts and crafts homes in my old East Dallas neighborhood.
