Sunset Harbor - Original oil painting by Karen Tarlton

20x24
Oil

Every month or so I love to paint boats docked in beautiful light.  These paintings are inspired by my time living in San Diego, where I hope to return to live some day.  This one is painted in dramatic evening light and bold color.
My life is like a stroll upon the beach,
As near the ocean's edge as I can go.
- Henry David Thoreau, The Fisher's Boy
