Taking Flight

12x12

Oil

I can't quite decide what genre of I enjoy the most. I take it day by day. Today was one of the windiest days I can remember.  Lawn furniture blew down the street. Tennis was canceled and at my daughter's school, large metal trash cans were rolling around the parking lot as if it were a ski race.  The wind makes me crazy and grumpy but painting a daily inspiration always makes me happy! Hope you enjoy!

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.

I thought I would post this bold abstract as we approach the new year. I hope this last day of 2011 finds you in peace with the past and hopeful for a great 2012. Let's make it a fresh and new beginning, like a brand new white canvas, and fill it with color and light!

This original oil has a unique combination of color, texture and form.  Degas inspired....I love to play warm against cool colors  and generate movement and form with inspirational color!
