I created this on the last day of Paint Historic Waxahachie. I love this flower with it's variety of warm and cool colors.  The home owner came out and talked to me about his wife's love of the flower. She loved the ability to sway the color with amount of acid in the soil.  The more alkaline in the soil the pinker the flower.  This painting sold.

I created this during the Paint Historic Waxahachie event this month.  We were encouraged to paint the ladies that were featured on the Gingerbread Tour of homes.  This home was the most painted of all the homes. I created it with skies threatening rain the whole time. I signed it and the skies opened up with pouring rain. I suppose I was finished!
