"Springtime in The Marche (Italy)", by Karla Nolan, palette knife, brush, oil painting, linen panel

Happy New Year!  I hope all of you had a pleasant holiday, no matter which one you celebrate, as well as a fine new year, 2011.  We have had some family illness occurring, it's ongoing, but I hope to resume a more regular schedule of posting and blogging shortly.

In the meantime -- welcome to The Marche in Italy ("mar-kay") -- we were there in spring a few years ago and it was simply a grand time.  Few people we met spoke fluent English, which seems fair as neither of us are fluent in Italian!  So...the fields were vibrant Emerald City hills, the skies were lovely blue, the food was incredible -- nothing new in Italy, huh?  I urge you to go this directions -- it's different from Rome and Tuscany -- and this is where the truffles grow, also!  Yum!

"Springtime in The Marche", 8"x10" palette knife/brush oil painting on linen panel, $100 includes s/h in U.S., contact me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com and I'll mail you a Paypal invoice -- s/h in other locations to be determined at time of sale, of course.

I have set up a second website, Paintings On Glass, to showcase my paintings on glass.  There is a piece in progress as I type with sailboats.  That's a true challenge, showing proper structure and making the water look good.  Be sure to check it out, along with my new blogspot, listed below.

"Papaveri in Italy" by Karla Nolan, framed palette knife oil painting

One of my latest projects has been to produce a series of small paintings for a friend's boutique here in the northern part of Colorado. This is a 5"x7" framed as shown palette knife oil painting of spring hill towns in Italy during the poppy bloom.  A dear friend of mine here in  Fort Collins owns a lovely boutique by the name of EsScentuals and there hangs this artwork. This painting costs $135 and s&h is determined at time of sale. Should you be interested in this particular painting, please call EsScentuals at 970-484-7862 or write them at EsScentuals@comcast.net and someone will help you there. Thanks for looking, as always!
