I have a series of pool paintings I am doing.
I don't know if I am inspired by the art of David Hockney or by all the swimming pools of my youth!
The tree in this piece is painted with palette knife strokes but the rest of the painting is brushed. Again, the balance of the smooth and rough is one of the qualities that I really am drawn to in many paintings.
