Aspen forest in the Rocky Mountains (Palette Knife)

This trio of aspen trees was witnessed and captured with my camera late fall in the Rocky Mountains. I loved it's warm, soft orange and green shades on it's bark, and the blue background, so I decided to make this composition among my fall season paintings of aspen trees. I try apply loads of heavy texture with palette knife to mimics the peeling bark of aspen or birch trees.
Very heavy impasto original, modern, impressionist palette knife oil painting.
