This year I have set myself a new challenge - every other painting has to have figures in it - or be a portrait. Then, in between I will paint something that is easier. So here is the first one done - It's called Thursday Night Late Shopping - its people shopping in Market Street, Manchester England. Interesting to do - figures and the glowing lights of the shops. I am getting excited about this - Have ideas for three more!
This painting is 3' x 3' and is for sale for $500. Please contact Sarah more more details. http://www.sarahmorleyfineart.com/

Sarah Morley's New Year Challenge
I am an artist, based in Stockport, UK, where I am part of the communal art studios in an old cotton mill, Vernon Mill. Art is my second career. I started it over 30 years ago when I started a Fine Art degree which I was really not ready for.
I returned to my painting over 6 years ago. I paint mainly landscapes and seascapes in a semi abstract way that I hope invokes the feeling of 'being there'. Texture, light, colour and energy are important in my painting.
