I
painted these from life, they are from my guava tree in the back yard.
The thing has gone crazy this year with the wet summer we have had, it
has dozens of guavas. I am the only one in my family who likes them, I
have about gotten to my point of saturation. I have been eating fresh
off the tree, I made guava bread, guava smoothie, guava cobbler, and
gave a bunch away. I figure next I'll try freezing some.
The painting is all done with the painting knife and is oil, 8 x 10 inches on masonite. $200.
Bringing together Artists who paint with the palette knife, from around the world.

Daily Painting 1454 Golden Guavas Alla Prima
I was born in Ft. Pierce and lived there all my life. I have an Associate in Art degree from the Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce. I consider myself primarily self taught.
I am a member of Plein Air Florida, and the leader of Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast. My paintings are in art collections worldwide.
I have co-published an article in Plein Air Magazine.
I have contributed paintings to Art for Nature, Heathcote Botanical Gardens, Habitat for Humanity and various other charities.
I love painting outside using the painting knife. I love the rich texture and lustrous effects I can get with the knife.
My studio is located in my home on Indian River Drive in Fort Pierce. I use both of my names in my art, Lori McNamara and Lenore McNamara.
I can be reached at lori.mcnamara@gmail.com
