Remains of the Birthday Flowers...Palette Knife Painting by Peg Whitacre

Receiving flowers on special days is always exciting.  Unfortunately they always wilt and die!  But this time I took much better care and when the "end" came for the main flowers I noticed that there were many small pink flowers that appeared to be miniature carnations.  I placed them in this funky little flea market vase and whipped out the palette knife and painted them.  They continued to stay fresh for some time and this 5x7 painting is the result.  Enjoy!
