SHIP YARD Abstract by Deborah Harold

Taking a new class is always a good way to stretch yourself and discover new palettes and styles.
This piece is a result of a recent class with artist Tom Balderas. The looseness is what excites me.
There is lots of movement and interest. I used a brush and palette knife and painted from a photograph I had taken in Newport Harbor and the old Ship Yard building. I think it is fun and playful, and painting it was too much fun.
16x20 on Artisan panel.
